Marcos Marco is a Choreographer and visual artist,

Born in Santander, Spain, Marcos had a classical dance education graduated at Real Conservatorio Madrid in 1997.

He joined the Ballet National de Marseille in 1998 where he had a long and rich carrer until 2016.

Marcos has work with artist as :  Carollyn Carlson, Rui Horta, Nacho Duato, Richard Werlock, William Forsyte, Claude Brumachon, Thierry Malandain, Marie-Claude Pietragalla, Tero Saarinen, Frédéric Flamand,  Stephen Petronio

He began his way as a choreographer in 2008; His works have been recognized in several choreography contest as: Hanover competition Choreograpy, Certamen Coreografico de Madrid, Certamen internacional de coreografía Burgos – Newyork. 

In 2007 the region of Cantabria recognizes Marcos’s work in favor of the art and diffusion of Cantabria’s name all around the world.

In 2013 he was awarded the jury prize of the Madrid Choreography contest with the duet Josephine’s shoes.

Marcos has created choreographies for companies and institutions as:

Tanzart Festival Giessen: “A Ciegas” for the opening event of the TFG (2014). Bremerhaven Tanzcompagnie Gala: “Ni en Sueños (Duet 2011),

Josephine’s shoes (2013), Mister D (2014).

20 years celebration event (2012) of the Ecole Superieur National de Danse de Marseille:

Team Age (piece for 18 dancers 2012).

Observatum (piece for 11 dancers 2014).

Ballet National de Marseille:

Cul de Sac (piece for seven dancers 2007), Ni en sueños (2010 duet).

Let’s D (piece for five dancers 2011), Blues for two (duet 2011).

Festival Ventana Abierta a la Danza Málaga:  Magnetised (duet 2016).

Contenedores de Arte Logroño: Josephine’s shoes (duet 2014).
